Come join us for a fun hands-on workshop where you’ll learn how to make beautiful art glass flowers or flower bowl! We’ll use glass frit powders of many colors and water, to make your blooming creation. This class is for beginners and experienced glass artists alike. You’ll get to make a 8-inch flower. We’ll start by learning about frit and how to mix colors. Then, you’ll get to design your flower, choosing colors and layering techniques to make it look deep and three-dimensional. We’ll also explore different shaping and building techniques. You’ll work directly with frit slurry and glass components to create your design.
The firing will be in my studio, so you can pick up your flower, usually in about a week or have it mailed to you at a small extra cost, depending on the size of your piece.
The price is $165 per student, and that includes all the materials and firing costs. An optional stem for your flower is available with hardware for $15.
